Rimrock Energy Partners, LLC formed in 2015 out of Rimrock Midstream, LLC as a strategic growth-oriented company focused on the acquisition, development and management of midstream energy assets across multiple commodities (crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids).
Rimrock’s predecessor, Rimrock Midstream, was a crude oil focused company engaged in the business of transporting, storing and blending in Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming, and developed the Grand Mesa Pipeline and the Platte River Gathering System. In addition to developing multiple greenfield projects, Rimrock Midstream successfully owned and operated the El Dorado Crude Oil Storage Facility, the Platte River Gathering System and Lost River Transport, a crude oil trucking company.
Pierce Gas Processing & Gathering System
- Developed and constructed 200 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) gas processing plant with over 135 miles of pipeline
El Dorado Crude Oil Storage Facility
- Custom blended over 50mm barrels of crude oil for Holly Frontier for delivery to the Holly El Dorado Refinery
- Sold to Holly Energy Partners in 2015
Platte River Gathering System
- Developed and constructed crude gathering system of over 40 miles with the ability to deliver greater than 100M barrels per day
- Sold majority interest to ARB Midstream in 2016
Grand Mesa Pipeline
- Developed 675 mile, 20-inch crude pipeline capable of delivering 210M barrels per day to Cushing Crude Hub
- Sold to NGL Energy Partners in 2014
Lost River Transport
- Operated a fleet of more than 60 crude oil transports in the Permian, SCOOP, STACK and DJ Basins
